It is disclosed a stripping tool for cutting an access window in an optical cable. The tool comprises: a blade block comprising a blade; a casing provided with at least one guiding element, wherein the blade block is movable within the casing; and an actuating device, operable from outside the casing, configured to impart to the blade block a movement along a cutting path defined by the guiding element so that a portion of the sheath of the optical cable is cut in a controlled manner.
