#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves forming electric current by controlling a current source as a sequence of impulses, where the current flows during separation of a nickel-containing coating material from a surface of a base body (2) in electrolyte solution between two electrodes. A coating (4) is adjusted to characteristics of the base body by modulation of the impulses of the current during separation of a coating material from the surface. The electric current is adjusted in the form of the impulses with a period at a range of 1 milli seconds up to 100 milli seconds. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for coating a surface of a base body of a cylinder e.g. printing cylinder, plate cylinder or transfer cylinder, of a printing machine i.e. offset rotary printing machine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The electric current is adjusted in the form of the impulses with the period at the range of 1 milli seconds up to 100 milli seconds, thus forming a cover surface of the cylinder in a stable manner and ensuring optimum wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the surface of the cylinder for use in the printing machine. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a side view of a cylinder of a printing machine. 1 : Cylinder 2 : Base body 3 : Covering surface 4 : Coating 6 : Pin #CMT#INORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# The nickel-containing coating material contains a hard material e.g. carbide, nitride or oxide ceramics or diamond.
|
