<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide footwear having good flexibility without using an innersole serving as a base of a shoe, preventing deterioration of flexibility of each component of the footwear, friendly to a wearer and achieving light weight feeling when worn; and to provide a method of manufacturing the footwear. <P>SOLUTION: Reinforcement plate materials 3a, 3b capable of maintaining shapes thereof are stretched in respective back faces of a portion corresponding to a toe portion and a portion corresponding to a heel portion of an elastic sheet plate 3 made of synthetic resin or thermoplastic elastomer and formed to have a shape of a footprint. After the elastic sheet plate 3 is temporarily fixed to a shoe stretcher, an upper 1 and a quarter 2 are fitted to the shoe stretcher. A lasting portion of a toe part of the upper 1 and a lasting portion of a heel part of the quarter 2 are bonded and fixed to back face peripheral edges of the respective reinforcement plate materials 3a, 3b, and a peripheral face of an upper outsole 4a is covered and fixed to form a U-shaped cross section by using a band-shaped sheet covering body 5. The back face of the elastic sheet plate 3 having the lasted and fixed upper 1 and quarter 2 and formed to have the footprint shape and the surface of the upper outsole 4a fixed by the band-shaped sheet covering body 5 are boned and fixed, and a lower outsole 4b is bonded and fixed to the back face of the upper outsole 4a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
