<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a video display device, frame rate converter and display method capable of reducing an error or noise of a video due to frame rate conversion when an OSD screen is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: A video display device 1 comprises a frame rate conversion part 20 for converting a frame rate by subjecting a synthetic video frame generated by superimposing an OSD image on a video frame to a frame interpolation processing based on a motion vector, and a display part 17 for performing video display based on the video frame converted by the frame rate conversion part.
