摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compare two video streams at a level close to human perception by comparing and monitoring the video streams at real time, verifying the result off line, and giving feedback to comparison conditions.

SOLUTION: Using a comparison algorithm which takes a short time for a comparison process among a plurality of comparison algorithms considering human perception characteristics, each piece of broadcast image data and each piece of retransmission image data are compared respectively. As a result of the comparison, a piece of broadcast image data and a piece of retransmission image data which do not match predetermined comparison conditions are compared by use of the comparison algorithm which takes the next shortest time for the comparison process.
