METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING TIME SHIFT REVIEW IN DYNAMIC HYPERTEXT TRANSFER PROTOCOL STREAMING TRANSMISSION SOLUTION

Disclosed are a method, device and system for supporting time shift review and seamless switching between live and on-demand in the dynamic Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) streaming transmission solution. The method includes: transmitting a live Media Presentation Description (MPD) request message to a media server (A1); from the media server, receiving the returned response message including the MPD of the current time period, wherein, the MPD also includes the media presentation information of other time periods (A2); while determining that the current moment when media fragmentation request is required is out of the time range corresponding to the MPD, determining, according to the media presentation information of other time periods, the media presentation information corresponding to the media fragmentation required to be requested currently (A3); obtaining the corresponding MPD according to the media presentation information corresponding to the media fragmentation required to be requested currently, and requesting, according to the obtained corresponding MPD, the media fragmentation required to be requested currently from the media server (A4), so that the client terminal can support time shift and review with a longer time range while remaining the scale of the MPD within an acceptable range.
