<p>A method and an apparatus for implementing direct detection and coherent detection are disclosed. First, split a received optical signal into a first path optical signal and a second path optical signal, split the power of the first path optical signal to obtain a first optical signal and a second optical signal, and split the polarization beam of the second path optical signal to obtain a first optical signal and a second optical signal; then, choose, according to a received control signal, to output optical signals after power splitting or optical signals after polarization splitting; at last, implement direct detection or coherent detection on the output optical signals. Choosing, according to a control signal, to implement power splitting or polarization beam splitting on an optical signal enables flexible implementation of direct detection or coherent detection, thus different rates of middle nodes can be accommodated in a single polarization system or a polarization multiplex system.</p> |
