INFRARED ABSORPTIVE COMPOSITION, INFRARED ABSORPTIVE INK, RECORDED MATTER, IMAGE RECORDING METHOD, AND IMAGE DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared absorptive composition excellent in sensitivity to an infrared ray, and to provide an infrared absorptive ink having high reading sensitivity by an infrared ray, a recorded matter, an image recording method, and an image detecting method.

SOLUTION: The infrared absorptive composition includes: (A) an infrared absorption pigment expressed by General formula (1); and (B) a phosphate based white crystal powder of infrared absorption nature which mainly comprises diphosphorus pentaoxide and contains at least 20 mass% and at most 73 mass% of a metal ion chosen from Fe2+and Cu2+, wherein the content of (B) the phosphate based white crystal powder is at least 1 mass% and at most 99 mass%.
