<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of suppressing an occurrence of gripping failure for a transfer material by a transfer material gripping mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device according to the present invention has: transporting sections (gate rollers 101 and 101') for transporting a transfer material; a secondary transfer roller 61, which is provided with a recessed opening portion 605 on a circumferential surface thereof and is also provided with a transfer material gripping section for gripping the transfer material transported from the transporting sections to the recessed opening portion 605, for gripping the transfer material at the transfer material gripping section and rotating; rotational position detecting means for detecting a rotational position of the secondary transfer roller 61; and a control section for changing over a transporting speed of the transfer material at the transporting sections from a first speed faster than a circumferential surface speed of the secondary transfer roller 61 at a different circumferential surface from the recessed opening portion 605 to a second speed slower than the circumferential surface speed at a timing calculated based on rotational position information of the secondary transfer roller 61 detected by the rotational position detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
