PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module (optical transmitter) with which it becomes possible to eliminate a tracking error by canceling environmental temperature dependency of an optical coupling ratio of a lens system.

SOLUTION: An optical transmitter includes: a semiconductor laser element 21 that has an HR surface 21a and an AR surface 21b; a condensation lens 26 that condenses an output light from the AR surface 21b; light intensity maintaining means (such as a first voltage control type current source 25) for maintaining intensity of output lights from the HR surface 21a and the AR surface 21b constant; an optical demultiplexer 27 that demultiplexes an output light from the condensation lens 26 into two waves that are a first demultiplexed light and a second demultiplexed light; a semiconductor optical amplifier 32 that has a driving current terminal 32a and outputs the first demultiplexed light after amplifying or attenuating the first demultiplexed light in accordance with a driving current inputted into the driving current terminal 32a; and driving current output means (such as a second voltage control type current source 31) for outputting the driving current in accordance with intensity of the second demultiplexed light or the intensity of the output light from the HR surface 21a as well as the intensity of the second demultiplexed light.
