<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily interchange a writing shaft and increase the degree of freedom of the rear end of a barrel, in a multiple lead writing utensil where a plurality of writing shafts are stored in the barrel. <P>SOLUTION: The rear end of a longitudinal hole 16a formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rear part of the barrel 12 is blocked, and an operation body 24 connected to the rear end of the writing shaft 20 is configured so that it can be radially inserted into or taken out of the longitudinal hole 16a.
