<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrahigh-pressure mercury lamp capable of restraining generation of cracks on a quartz bulb resulting from pouring of cement for two times, at the time of alignment for firmly fixing a light-emitting tube on a reflecting mirror and at the time of base-attaching for firmly fixing a base. <P>SOLUTION: In the ultrahigh-pressure mercury lamp wherein the light-emitting tube using the quartz bulb is firmly fixed on a neck section of the reflecting mirror by pouring cement for the first time and the base is firmly fixed on an end of the neck section of the light-emitting tube by pouring the cement for the second time, a coil is arranged along a designated length in an axial direction on an outer periphery of the quartz bulb in the vicinity of a boundary between the cement poured for the fist time and the cement poured for the second time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
