<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid ejector includes: a drive signal generation section 334 that generates drive signals COM1 and COM2 having a plurality of driving pulses and a middle wave form; and drive units U1-Un that select part or all of drive signals COM1 and COM2, generates a waveform signal W, and outputs the waveform signal to a piezoelectric vibrator 276. The drive signal generation section 334 generates the drive signal COM1 and COM2 by differentiating the potentials at the start of the plurality of driving pulses, so that the potentials of each of the plurality of driving pulse DP1-DP3 conform at the start and the end and so that the amplitudes of the drive signal COM1 and COM2 become small compared with the case that the plurality of driving pulse DP1-DP3 are arranged to uniform the potentials at the start thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
