<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diversify gesture functions and improve their operability with an information processor with gesture functions and an operation method for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor comprises a main body, an acceleration sensor 115 mounted in the main body, a gesture operation determination part 21 and an operation execution part 22. The gesture operation determination part 21 determines a reference posture of the main body in executing a predetermined gesture operation based on an acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor 115, and also determines a gesture operation which was performed by detecting a posture change from the reference posture of the main body based on the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor 115.
