<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-beam lamp unit capable of improving visibility of a driver by increasing amount of light without generating a large contrast difference in a low-beam light-distribution pattern. <P>SOLUTION: In the low-beam lamp unit 2 having an LED 9, a projection lens 7 arranged on an optical axis X1, a reflector 8 for reflecting light of the LED 9 to the vicinity of a rear focal point F2 of the projection lens 7 on a vertical cross section, a shade 6 of which the front edge 11 is arranged in the vicinity of the rear focal point F2 of the projection lens 7 and shades a part of light reflected by the reflector 8, and a re-reflecting surface 10 integrally arranged at the back of the front edge 11 and re-reflecting a part of shaded reflected light to the projection lens 7, at least a part of the re-reflecting surface 10 has a light diffusion section 16 as a continuous curved surface which is convex to the reflector 8 in the vertical cross section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
