<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of calculating a local characteristic amount even from an edge of image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device expands an edge of an image within a prescribed range; detects a plurality of feature points showing a setting position of a local area from the image; sets the local area corresponding to each feature point in the image with an expanded area; and calculates the local characteristics amount corresponding to each feature point based on image information within the local area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
