<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection optical device capable of suppressing distortion as well as of projecting an image with high resolution in which focusing is performed on the whole area. <P>SOLUTION: The projection optical device provided with a projection optical system 13 for projecting an image displayed on a two-dimensional image display element 13b and a cylindrical screen 11 which is eccentric to the projection optical system 13 and on which the image projected by the projection optical system 13 is projected, further has a correction optical system 12 having an optical element 12a with different power between a direction of a rotation center axis 11a of the cylindrical screen 11 (Y-axis direction) and a direction perpendicular to a first surface 101 containing a central principal ray C of a light flux from the projection optical system 13 toward the cylindrical screen 11 (X-axis direction). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
