摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing high quality nanocarbon in a large amount and at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The nanocarbon can be more inexpensively produced using a catalyst-assisted chemical vapor deposition method by continuously feeding a multiporous composite metal oxide and a hydrocarbon gas from a hopper 25 for feeding a catalyst to a screw conveyor 22 as a reaction tube placed in an electric oven 21 having a catalyst-activating zone 21a heated at 400-1,000&deg;C, a nanocarbon-synthesizing zone 21b and a cooling zone 21c, and continuously taking out the synthesized nanocarbon from a discharge hopper 26. According to the invention, the method and an apparatus for producing the high quality nanocarbon in a large amount at low cost are obtained.
