<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing high quality nanocarbon in a large amount and at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The nanocarbon can be more inexpensively produced using a catalyst-assisted chemical vapor deposition method by continuously feeding a multiporous composite metal oxide and a hydrocarbon gas from a hopper 25 for feeding a catalyst to a screw conveyor 22 as a reaction tube placed in an electric oven 21 having a catalyst-activating zone 21a heated at 400-1,000°C, a nanocarbon-synthesizing zone 21b and a cooling zone 21c, and continuously taking out the synthesized nanocarbon from a discharge hopper 26. According to the invention, the method and an apparatus for producing the high quality nanocarbon in a large amount at low cost are obtained. In addition, the nanocarbon can be produced at lower cost, as energy can be recovered by effectively using the hydrogen gas generated in the nanocarbon synthesizing zone for power generation by a fuel cell 28b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
