<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the consumption power associated with an operation to eliminate a deformation tendency of a belt of a electrostatic belt conveyance system. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus equipped with belt driving means for intermittently driving a conveyance belt during power saving comprises a first voltage conversion circuit (conversion circuit A 19a) in which the primary-to-secondary conversion efficiency is approximately maximized during power saving, and a second voltage conversion circuit (conversion circuit A19b) in which the primary-to-secondary conversion efficiency is approximately maximized when the conveyance belt is driven during power saving.
