<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit that can reduce harmonics and improve a power factor in case of performing a feedforward control. <P>SOLUTION: In the power supply unit, a sine wave Vsin2 for prediction is determined based on a sine wave Vsin1, a cycle T of an input voltage Vac of one cycle earlier, and a peak value Vpeak of the input voltage Vac of one cycle earlier. Then, a predictive input voltage Vac2 on a setting timing T2 is predicted based on the sine wave Vsin2 for prediction, an acquisition timing T1 of a present input voltage Vac1, a time ΔT being taken from the acquisition timing T1 to the setting timing T2 for a duty factor D of a driving signal S.
