The turret has a drive device (14) whose first power unit (8) and second power unit are connected with output units (20, 22) over a controllable switch (18). The drive device together with the power units and the output unit utilized to drive rotary machining tools are arranged within a tool pane (2). A swivel drive of the output unit utilized to drive the tool pane is provided with a gear assembly i.e. wolfrom planetary gear assembly, comprising a driven shaft (70) extending along a carrier pillar (32). The gear assembly is arranged at the carrier pillar outside the tool pane.
