APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING A CONNECTION ERROR OF SCADA RTU SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A device for detecting a disconnection error of a SCADA RTU system is provided to generate a grounding error generating alarm and a disconnection error alarm when a SCADA RTU system is constructed, thereby minimizing working hours and the number of workers for building the SCADA RTU system. CONSTITUTION: A power supply unit(220) supplies external power supplied from the outside to a SCADA RTU system through a cable. The power supply unit outputs the output voltage and the output current of supplied power. A determination unit(232) determines whether a SCADA RTU system abnormally operates due to a disconnection error of the cable based on the output voltage and the output current. If the determination unit determines the SCADA RTU system abnormally operates, a controller(234) controls the determination unit to generate an abnormal operation alarm. An alarm unit(250) generates an alarm by the controller, the SCADA RTU system informs an abnormal operation.
