<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyether polyol, which suppresses the viscosity of polyol system liquid low, has excellent miscibility between a polyol system liquid and an isocyanate compound and forms a rigid foamed synthetic resin having improved strength and dimensional stability and excellent flame retardancy and thermal insulation properties in spite of having low density. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a polyether polyol (A) includes reacting a phenol with an aldehyde and an alkanolamine and adding an alkylene oxide to the obtained reaction product. The use amount of the aldehyde to 1 mol of the phenol is ≥0.9 mol and <1.35 mol and the use amount of the alkanolamine is ≥2.1 mols and ≤10.5 mols. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
