MANGANESE OXIDE COMPOSITE COVERED WITH SILICATE INORGANIC POLYMER, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manganese oxide composite covered with a silicate and a method for producing the same.

SOLUTION: The method is for producing an inorganic silicate-manganese oxide composite in which the surface of a base material having a surface consisting of manganese oxide is covered with an inorganic silicate polymer, and is characterized by (1) preparing a precursor suspension by mixing a silicon compound aqueous solution and an aluminum compound or a transition metal compound aqueous solution, (2) removing a salt by-produced in the process, (3) putting a base material into the precursor suspension and performing a hydrothermal reaction, and (4) synthesizing a manganese oxide composite which is covered with an inorganic silicate polymer on the surface by the processes (1)-(3).
