<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe and a method for manufacturing the same for suppressing damage, such as split of a vibrator, even when another member of the ultrasonic probe is pressed and adhered onto an electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe 1 includes a vibrator having: a vibrator body part 10; a first electrode 12 provided on one surface of the vibrator body part; a second electrode 14 provided on the other surface of the vibrator body part; and electrodeless parts 22a, 22b formed on one surface of the vibrator body part and on at least one of side line parts on the other surface.
