<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the degree of privacy protection in accordance with situations, without providing a display device with a physical configuration for privacy protection. <P>SOLUTION: A control part 11 displays an application image generated by an executed application on a display part 14 and disposes a protection image 122 stored in a storage part 12 in a layer lower than a layer where the application image is displayed. When an operation part 13 accepts an operation of an operator 132, the control part 11 reduces transmission coefficients of all layers above the layer where the protection image 122 is drawn. Thus, a user views a screen in which the application image is difficult to view due to the protection image 122 having an increased mixture rate.
