<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent density variation of toner particles in a short period based on charge amount prediction and to stabilize the image density for long period by compensating prediction error. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU2 executes FF control in which charge amount of toner particles in a developer container 9 is predicted, and based on the prediction result, determines laser power (LPW) correction amount so that the density of toner image for ordinary image which is developed and formed on a photosensitive drum 5 is constant. Both of ordinary image forming and latent image forming of an image patch (for tone correction) for detecting the image density are made with a latest gradation conversion table and at a exposure intensity corrected with the calculated LPW correction amount. The CPU2 updates the gradation conversion table so that the detected output density of the image density of the image patch coincides with a target patch density (target density). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
