<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body side structure that transmits the shock at the time of a side collision to a load transmission member in a side sill from a door via a center pillar and from the load transmission member to a cross member on a floor. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle body side structure is provided with a center pillar 32 built up on a side sill 16 with a closed section shape constituting the lower end of the right/left side walls (side body 25) of a vehicle room 13 and mounted with an end of a cross member of a floor (under body) 14. A center pillar inner, which partitions the interior of a side sill 16, is provided with a center pillar inner passed-through part 67. An outer bulkhead 21 and an inner bulkhead are provided opposite to the center pillar inner passed-through part 67. A back end 214 of a second door beam 212 disposed in the front door 45 is provided close to the outer bulkhead 21.
