<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize an electric potential restriction structure to suppress electric discharge in a voltage-applying structure for applying a high voltage. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device of the invention includes: a first insulating board 14 having an electron-emission area 53 for emitting electrons and a through-hole 21; a second insulating board 13 opposed to a first face of the first insulating board where a cathode is located, and having an anode 15 to which a voltage for accelerating electrons emitted by the cathode is applied; a voltage-applying structure 11 for applying the voltage to the anode, which extends through the through-hole and is electrically connected with the anode; and a first electric potential restriction structure 28 laid out on the first face of the first insulating board to surround the through-hole and restricted to a potential lower than that of the anode. The voltage-applying structure 11 has a second electric potential restriction structure 30 touching a wall face of the through-hole inside the through-hole and restricting a portion in contact with the wall face to a potential the same as that of the voltage-applying structure 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
