<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably operate an actuator while achieving miniaturization and light weight. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet detecting device 100 includes: a first actuator 110 swingably supported by centering a first shaft 111; a second actuator 120 swingably supported by centering a second shaft 121; and a photosensor 130 for detecting swinging of the second actuator 120. The first actuator 110 includes a slot 114 extending along the first shaft 111 in a radial direction. The second actuator 120 includes an engaged projection part 124 engaged with the slot 114. The engaged projection part 124 is synchronized with swinging of the first actuator 110, and composed to be swung in a direction intersected with the slot 114 in a longitudinal direction by centering the second shaft 121.
