<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifeed processing apparatus, a multifeed processing method, and a multifeed processing program which can correctly detect any multifeed without any troublesome operation of a user. <P>SOLUTION: It is detected whether the shape of an outer periphery of a paper sheet is changed at a boundary of an overlap detected part by the upper and lower sides and the right and left sides of the overlap detected part detected by an ultrasonic sensor, and the shape of the entire paper sheet to be obtained from a paper sheet sensor, image information or the like.
