<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece machining device that machines the outside diameter of the end of a workpiece etc. with a high degree of accuracy with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The workpiece machining device includes: a main shaft 23 rotatably journaled by a headstock 21; cutting tools 67 and 69 provided at the main shaft side and movable in the diameter direction, for machining the workpiece W; a first drive unit (24) for rotating the main shaft; and a second drive unit (55) for rotating a rotary member (49). The device has: a first motion converter for converting a first rotational motion of the second drive unit into a first linear motion; a second motion converter for converting the first linear motion into a second rotational motion; and the third motion converter for converting the second rotational motion into the linear motion for moving the cutting tools in the radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
