The inlay sole (1) has a lower side which is applied to a shoe, where a bearing surface is formed for a foot-forming upper side (2). A front section (3) is designed for supporting a front foot, where a hollow space is formed between the front section and a rear section (4). The hollow space forms a rear pad at the rear section. An independent claim is also included for a shoe.
