A pneumatic tire where one-sided wear is prevented. The pneumatic tire is a tire whose direction of rotation is not specified, the tire having lug grooves (20) crossing the lands on the shoulder sides of a tread section (16). The lug grooves (20) each have a tapered groove section (21) whose width gradually narrows, and block portions (22) are formed between the lug grooves (20) so as to be arranged in the circumferential direction of the tire. The block portions (22) have a trapezoidal shape, as viewed from the tire tread surface side, with the shoulder side of a block portion as the short side. The tapered groove section (21) is formed to extend from a tread end T beyond a 1/4 point Q. One-sided wear of the pneumatic tire (10) can be prevented because a lug angle α at a trailing edge section near the 1/4 point Q is not more than 90° regardless of which direction the pneumatic tire (10) is rotated. |
