<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation molding device and method, where the need for a device previously melting a thermoplastic resin and injecting it into a cavity is eliminated and which allow molding of a molded article with a small use amount of the thermoplastic resin. <P>SOLUTION: This light irradiation molding device 1 includes: a pair of rubber mold parts 2A, 2B made of a rubber material having a property of transmitting light X, forming a cavity 20 on counter sides on which the rubber mold parts face each other and which are joined to each other; and a light irradiation unit 4 irradiating the particulate thermoplastic resin 6 disposed in the cavity 20 with the light X from a surface of the pair of rubber mold parts 2A, 2B. The light irradiation molding device 1 is configured to bring the pair of rubber mold parts 2A, 2B close to each other while melting the thermoplastic resin 6 disposed in the cavity 20 by the light X emitted from the light irradiation unit 4 and to mold the molded article 7 of the thermoplastic resin 6 in the cavity 20 whose volume is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
