<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion device, capable of holding a sensitizing dye in a porous body layer composed of a semiconductor material easily in a short time at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: A porous body layer 11 composed of a titanium oxide is formed on a transparent substrate 2 having a transparent conductive film 3. The sensitizing dye is held by dripping solution 13 including the sensitizing dye to cover the porous body layer 11 and by penetrating the solution 13 into the porous body layer 11. By heating the porous body layer 11 and/or the solution 13 beforehand according to the necessity, the solution 13 is dripped in the heated state.
