<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for suppressing deflection occurring in a handle of a hand-held work machine without changing a pipe material forming the handle. <P>SOLUTION: This hand-held work machine includes: a body having a motor; and the handle 18 fixed to the body and grasped by a user. The handle 18 is formed of the pipe material, and is provided with at least one reinforcement member 40 in a partial length range 18e of the handle 18. The reinforcement member 40 can be made, for example, of a pipe material and can be disposed inside the handle 18.
