METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING MESSAGE SERVICE IN INTERACTIVE IPTV

The present invention discloses a method and system for implementing message service in interactive Internet Protocol television (IPTV), wherein, an IPTV message system receives messages from an IPTV system and/or an external cell system; according to user information and whether the set top box (STB) user is in power-on state, the received messages are forwarded to the STB corresponding to the user information or a receiving binding terminal of the user STB. If the STB is not in power-on state, judging whether the STB user has other terminal binding services; if no, off-line mails are sent to the STB user; if yes, the messages are sent to the other binding terminals of the STB user, and the messages made by the system are displayed on the other terminals. The present invention performs service and function extension on the aspects of message sources and receiving terminals, and the services of IPTV system are enriched.
