The invention relates to a process for producing reinforced wood pieces, comprising: the rabbeting, scoring or milling of two sheets of wood, to which reinforcing rods are affixed, said reinforcing rods being of a thickness, shape and material suited to the final degree of strength required; the gluing of the two sheets using a layer of adhesive and the application of pressure; and the cutting of the reinforced wood to the desired shape in order to obtain individual pieces. The invention is particularly suitable for the production of furniture and accessories therefor, which require greater strength than that of wood in the natural state. |
