The method involves interconnecting operating fluid chambers (12-16) of a operating fluid container (10) i.e. oil sump, in connecting regions depending on a design variant of the container, where the chambers are separated from each other by assigned separation units, and the separation units are formed as partition walls. The partition walls are provided with communication openings for interconnecting the chambers, where the communication openings are produced in a molding process during manufacturing the container. An independent claim is also included for an operating fluid container comprising operating fluid chambers.
