PURPOSE: A seal unit of a shock absorber is provided to shorten the time to be required to inject the fluid by generating the whirlpool when injecting the gas and oil. CONSTITUTION: A seal unit of a shock absorber comprises a rod guide(21) and an oil seal. A fluid injecting grooves(21a,21b) is formed in the peripheral surface of the rod guide. When injecting the fluid inside a tube in the manufacturing of a shock absorber, the fluid injecting groove passes through the injected fluid. The fluid injecting groove is formed in the peripheral surface of the rod guide over one. In the inner surface of the fluid injecting groove, a helix uneven portion(21c) is formed. The oil seal covers the rod guide and prevents the leak of the oil.
