<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure good power generation state by preventing overcooling of a power generation unit in a fuel cell easily, economically and certainly thereby preventing flooding. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell stack 10 is constituted by stacking a plurality of power generation units 12 along a horizontal direction. Method of operating the fuel cell stack 10 has a step for measuring temperature distribution of a cooling medium along the stacking direction of the power generation units 12, a step for determining whether the width of the temperature distribution thus measured exceeds a preset threshold or not, and a step for reducing the circulation amount of the cooling medium when the determination is made that the width of the temperature distribution exceeds the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
