<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents a failure to be caused by dew condensation on a fan and reduces the influence on paper. <P>SOLUTION: The fan blows air toward paper located at a predetermined blowing position immediately after passing through a nip part by rotation. A fan driving unit 82 drives the fan to rotate. A CPU 101 determines paper to pass through a fixing part 7, and determines whether to separate the paper from the fixing part 7 on the basis of the determination result. The CPU 101 performs, when determining that the paper is separated from the fixing part 7, continuous driving control for continuously driving the fan driving unit 82 to rotate the fan continuously for a predetermined period.
