<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold die having a compound coating layer for providing sufficient opening property in a surface of a skinless foam roller and continuously providing the opening property, the skinless foam roller for suppressing occurrence of an image defect using the mold die for a long time, and a method of efficiently manufacturing the skinless foam roller. <P>SOLUTION: In this skinless foam roller mold die, the compound coating layer, which is a distributed eutectoid of a plating matrix containing Ni and a fluororesin, is disposed on the surface coming into contact with at least a polyurethane foam raw material. When the compound coating layer is measured with an irradiation ion Ga+ by a time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometer (TOF-SIMS), the percentage of positive ion intensity of nickel (Ni) and fluorine carbide (CF) to the total ion intensity of positive ions of a molecular weight of 1,850 or smaller is within a range defined in the specification.
