CELL CULTURE METHOD, CELL CULTURE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CELL CULTURE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the number of cultured cells obtained in a prescribed time using a prescribed amount of a culture solution in culturing floating cells using a culture vessel.

SOLUTION: The cell culture method for culturing cells using the culture vessel 11 for enlarging the bottom area of a culture part 11-1 in which a culture solution 13 and cells 14 are sealed includes an area enlargement step of enlarging the bottom area of the culture part 11-1 while maintaining area cell density satisfying formula (1): 0.01≤(an average area occupied per cell)×(the total number of cells in the culture part)/(the bottom area of the culture part)≤1.2 and subjecting the cells in the culture part 11-1 to fed-batch culture.
