<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the orientation of an article by a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: When one side 11b of an article 10 to be inspected is directed to a forward side of a conveyance device 30, and a first region R1 of a fitting member 20 is brought into contact with a first resistance imparting part 33A, any slip between the first region R1 and the resistance imparting part 33A is suppressed. Thus, the fitting member 20 is moved forwardly while being turned clockwise (refer to the reference numeral 5A). As shown by the reference numeral 5B, when a second region R2 is brought into contact with the resistance imparting part 33A, a slip occurs between the second region R2 and the resistance imparting part 33A, and the turn of the fitting member 20 is stopped. Then, the fitting member 20 is brought into contact with a second resistance imparting part 33B, the fitting member 20 is moved forwardly while turned clockwise (refer to the reference numeral 5C).
