<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the remaining amount of paper roll 3 directly with an inexpensive configuration and high accuracy without hurting the paper roll 3 in a ticket issuing device 1 which tickets by setting the paper roll 3, sequentially cutting the paper roll 3 in a predetermined length, and applying predetermined processing to paper. <P>SOLUTION: The ticket issuing device comprises: paper roll holders 15 for symmetrically setting paper rolls 3 across a frame 21; a rotating shaft 16 for coupling the right and left roll-shaped media holders 15; and a pressure sensor part 20 supported by the frame 21 in a horizontally central position under the rotating shaft 16.
