<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize an increase in torque due to contact between an end member and an image carrier while satisfying a toner leakage prevention function of the end member. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device includes: the image carrier having a photosensitive layer on a conductive base material, and rotatably supported so that the circumferential surface thereof may rotationally move; a cleaning blade which contacts with the image carrier so as to remove toner remaining on the image carrier; a receiving member which receives the toner removed from the image carrier by the cleaning blade; a guiding member which guides the toner to the receiving member; an end member which is provided around the cleaning blade and the end part of the guiding member so as to come in contact with the cleaning blade, and which comes in contact with the image carrier; and a bonding surface on which the end member provided in the receiving member is bonded. The contact pressure of the end member in the circumferential direction of the image carrier is not uniform, but the contact pressure on a straight line parallel to the axial direction of the image carrier, the axis passing through a plane where the cleaning blade and the image carrier contact with each other is the highest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
