<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device capable of suppressing a transfer failure, with a high degree of freedom in setting the position of a secondary transfer roller. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer device 30 includes an intermediate transfer belt 311, a drive roller 312, a secondary transfer belt 331, a secondary transfer roller 332 and an auxiliary member 333. The drive roller 312 tensions the intermediate transfer belt 311. The secondary transfer belt 331 is in pressure contact with the intermediate transfer belt 311 in a secondary transfer region 92. The secondary transfer roller 332 is opposed to the drive roller 312 across the intermediate transfer belt 311 and the secondary transfer belt 331, and is electrically grounded. The auxiliary member 33 is arranged on the secondary transfer roller 332 side with respect to the secondary transfer belt 331 on a side closer to an upstream side of a paper conveying direction 93 than the secondary transfer roller 332.
