The drive train (12) has a drive unit (14) which has an internal combustion engine (18) and is formed to drive an axle (27) of the motor vehicle (10). Another drive unit (16) has an electrical machine arrangement (34) which is designed to drive another axle (43) of the motor vehicle. A free-running (25) is arranged between the internal combustion engine and the former axle assigned to the internal combustion engine. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a drive train of a motor vehicle.
